Winter Hair Care: A Nourishing Routine to Restore Hydration
Winter is the perfect time to nurture your hair with intention. Cold, dry air and indoor heating can strip essential moisture, leaving hair dry, brittle, and lacking vitality. Our weekly Winter Hair Ceremony is designed to restore balance and hydration to all hair types. Here’s how to replenish dry hair in 5 simple steps:
Step 1: Breathe
Take a deep breath to center yourself and embrace self-care as a ritual.
Step 2: Cleanse
Switch to a more hydrating shampoo, like Innersense Organic Beauty’s Hairbath collection. If you normally use:
Pure Harmony Hairbath → Try Color Awakening Hairbath
Color Awakening Hairbath → Move up to Hydrating Cream Hairbath
How to: Gently massage the Hairbath into wet hair, focusing on your scalp to release oil and buildup. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 3: Condition
Hydrate with a rich conditioner infused with natural oils, such as Color Radiance Daily Conditioner or Hydrating Cream Conditioner.
How to: Smooth conditioner from mid-lengths to ends on soaking wet hair, section by section. Rinse well and blot hair dry with a bamboo towel, t-shirt, or silk wrap. Seal in moisture with Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner.
Step 4: Mask
Deeply restore hydration with our ultimate treatments.
How to:
Massage Harmonic Treatment Oil into the scalp.
Wet hair, then apply a small amount of Hydrating Hair Mask mid-lengths to ends.
Leave on for 15 minutes (relax with a shower cap!) and rinse thoroughly, massaging the scalp as you go.
Step 5: Style
Lock in moisture with a layering method:
Start with a hydrating base like Serenity Smoothing Cream or Quiet Calm Curl Control.
Add a hold product like I Create Lift, I Create Volume, or I Create Hold to combat frizz and seal hydration.
Winter Hair Tips for Extra Hydration
Use lukewarm water to rinse hair, as hot water can strip moisture.
Apply Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner throughout the week to hydrate dry ends.
Use Refresh Dry Shampoo to absorb oil and extend wash days.
On non-shampoo days, refresh with Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner
Leave 10% of your conditioner in when rinsing for extra hydration.
Sleep with a humidifier and use satin pillowcases or silk-lined headwear to lock in moisture.
Tuck ends under hats or beanies to protect them while staying warm.
